A photo of Kieron I took as part of some reference for WicDiv years ago, in a park in London, by a bench on some grass. Over the horizon, I added the words IF TRUE so that they appear enormous across the London skyline. This was funny to me when I first made it, and it's still funny to me now, so you're seeing it again.
Huge if true

If this actually happens, it may rank as the single most corrupt act in the history of American politics. I cannot believe this is even under discussion.

The capacity is mostly directed to keeping boilers and cooling going. And with the way the plumbing on ships is becoming suspect, I expect them to be under a lot of stress right now.

Both are impressive achievements in computer science, but they're not the universal problem solvers that promoters made them out to be. And both had a lot of people eager to throw money at them based on vibes.

The generative AI bubble is very reminiscent of the Machine Learning hype cycle in academia. Out of all the using ML in X field papers, most never showed the tools helping. It was just people mentioning the tool to get grants approved.

The ones who fell hardest for Trump also fell for anti-vax and anti-mask propaganda. They thinned themselves out at a faster rate than their more moderate peers.

Contrary to public perception a huge % of pregnant teenagers in the 1990s were impregnated by adult men. The younger they were, the larger the average age gap between mother and father was. Fixing teen pregnancy was in part a clampdown on statutory rape. That's what conservatives want to reverse.

How'd I spend my weekend? Oh just sitting in my garage filming ice melting like two dozen times on the assumption that I can learn how to do a time lapse in editing. I'm only realizing I should have done it the other way 9 hours into this project.
