I genuinely respect that he does authentic old man posting. How did he tag the website, is he treating it as a reply all sort of thing or did he do it without reason

Society has such unrealistic beauty standards for women.. Luckily I don’t have to conform to any of them because I am naturally beautiful

If you're at the airport and Kristi Noem is doing the ominous little message from the TSA screens, you no longer have to do anything she says. Leave your laptop in the case, whatever.

and furthermore he also emphasized the same labor could be productive or nonproductive depending on the setting. ie a pianist playing for friends of playing as part of a ticketed performance. similar considerations imho apply to private vs state deployment at times too. 2/2

marx’s thinking evolved over time so there are contradictory passages in different years but his “mature” view is services are commodities consumed at the point of production. however accountants should be seen as nonproductive overhead because they realize values of other commodities. 1/2

yes, but there exists a broad category of necessary but nonproductive-of value work. this is discussed eg in capital vol 2 chapter 6

assuming you are engaging genuinely that passage distinguishes between the productive (organizing work) and nonproductive (disciplining workers) aspects of management. cops obv the latter. elsewhere in capital (and tsv, manuscripts, etc) marx elaborates on the distinction in other contexts.

I’m sorry but I still can’t get over the fact that the analyst Jean Leray was captured by Nazis in 1940 and knew it was time to become Goblin Wizardman & this is why the world contains sheaves

WE WON! After 42 days of striking we have a tentative agreement in hand that protects our existing 4 day work week, establishes a minimum salary, and adds protections against AI replacing jobs at our workplace!

How to organize your co-workers around AI Management is already using the hype over AI to make workers fearful. We need a plan to get a say over the tools we use and how we use them.

We strongly condemn @CondéNast’s consolidation plans for Teen Vogue, a move that is clearly designed to blunt the award-winning magazine’s insightful journalism at a time when it is needed the most. More from our statement:

“I’m strong and I want to have like fifty kids and a farm” of course you do. You’re twelve. “I don’t want to eat vegetables I think steak and French fries is the only meal” hell yeah homie you’re twelve. “Maybe if there’s crime we should just send the army” bless your heart my twelve year old buddy

there were a lot of fans invested in the narrative arc of taylor “growing up” and sort of maturing into a joni mitchell figure or something and the big crime of this album is it absolutely isn’t that but also isn’t maximalist enough to be 1989 era big pop either.
