Watched "Mufasa: The Lion King". Overall great, but the super realistic animation lost me. It's like watching a fake nature documentary, but the animals talk. I would have appreciated more cartoon characteristics blending in. If you dress as Mufasa for Halloween, you'd just look like a lion.

Someone told me some of the changes they had to make in a video codec software to overcome the performance regression due to the downfall/GDS mitigations on x86 ended up slowing down the codec on ARM. Cross architecture entanglement is an interesting concept we wouldn't think of as much.
FHE/MPC are cool and lot of interesting use cases specially if you can't guarantee physical security of the assets, but for the cloud they will always lose to TEEs. By the time you get them to run fast enough, the TEEs have also improved 10 times with hardware isolation through the whole stack.
It's totally possible to build highly secure TEEs for the cloud. The reason we don't have them is because today's processors were never designed for it (the TEE was added later as an after thought) & hardware folks are just bad at security, stuck in the security through obscurity lala land
Going to start with random flops of my thoughts around computer and hardware security with a healthy dose of being cynical.
I guess we have to try this butterfly app and see how it goes.
