Today is my mother-in-law's 96th birthday. When we visited her, she said, "Merry Christmas! Was Christmas yesterday or today?" Oh well, at least she was in a good mood and sort of recognized us.

Gifts have been opened, breakfast has been eaten, and now it's quiet time with the music of Nat King Cole.
Merry Christmas to those who celebrate. And to everyone, may your lives be filled with peace, joy, and love.
My heart is full. Both of my adult children will be arriving soon and spending the night. We will be together for Christmas. โค๏ธ
What a beautiful animal in a beautiful setting.
This is the only one of our ice figures that stood up through both storms this week. More are being made.

Each year, when outdoor Christmas decoration pics are being shared, I'm always surprised when there is no snow in them. I can't imagine a Christmas without snow. And I forget that not having a white Christmas is normal for lots of people.
It's another cold, snowy, and blustery day. Not quite blizzard conditions but I wouldn't want to be out on the highways. We've run our necessary errands and are hunkering down at home for the rest of the day.
Thanks, Bleu. It's given me the "opportunity" to catch up on paperwork and cleaning.
The blizzard arrived last evening and our house was rattling in the wind gusts all night. Highways are closed and even the schools inside the city are closed, which almost never happens. I plan to stay at home today.
We have a blizzard warning for later today and tomorrow. It might be Mother Nature telling me I need to stop procrastinating on some things that need to be done inside our house. Oh the joys of winter on the Canadian prairies.
I used to make an annual Christmas ornament for my siblings and parents. One year my sister said, "that looks too nice to have been made by you." Sigh

My 95-year-old mother-in-law had a visit from Santa at her dementia care facility this week. He even gave her a candy cane.

Today we began sharing our ice figures in the park.
Happy birthday, Bleu. I hope you have something special planned for your day.
Bam-Bam Barger is now Slam-Bam Barger!
Late night mid-October thunderstorm. I'm loving it.
My plan for the weekend is to go through the hundreds of photos I've taken in the last few weeks and share some of the better ones. That's my plan. Will it happen? I don't know but that's my plan.

A fly landed on my leg and I saw my husband inching towards me with the swatter. I said, "you are not going to hit me with that fly swatter." He continued coming towards me and I repeated, "you are NOT going to hit me with that fly swatter!" Then the fly flew off my leg. I guess we'll never know...
