An evening wander in Dungeness. My absolute favourite place to be.

Text from a book. A piece of text is highlighted, which reads:

"I did not intend to be changed," Uncharles said.
"well, yeah," she repeated. "But that's not the point of change. It happens, is all. And once it's happened, you can't go back."

Every now and then in this book something simple yet profound slaps me in the face like a wet cod. @aptshadow.bsky.social #ServiceModel #Sci-Fi #NowReading

Thanks for your reply @barculator.bsky.social. It seems to me that the Raven have connected with so many people, in different and similar ways, that no matter what you do next, what you have already done is magical beyond words!

It's a brilliant team. Every time I drink a herbal tea, I picture sitting round the campfire with them all, having been served it by Ilkar, and just talking with them all ๐Ÿ˜‚

Sometimes life is a bit shit, and sometimes the world seems like it's lost its mind. When that happens, the Raven are a source of deep comfort. Eternal thanks to @barculator.bsky.social for writing the best fantasy characters and most amazing stories.

@rspb.bsky.social wondering if you need to rename the mug on your online shop... Unless you just mean it is a bird that is black, but even then... ๐Ÿคฃ

His latest book mentions Covid! But its not enought to stop me reading. For me, the escapism is in being in a bubble of hope, kindness and integrity, despite the craziness everywhere else, even if that craziness appears on the page!

I read this over the weekend and loved it! I discovered Cole and Pike in 2008 and have never looked back! Reading their stories feels like visiting with old friend. Awesome friends at that! Even the cat and cole's house and car are like a warm hug :)
