to be clear I don't think this will have a very big impact on the Chargers season. what his title ends up being seems pretty unclear (i.e., he might not even be PGC). I'm personally just confused why LA is the team to hire him when he has many other connections currently in the league

Gase has mostly just been hanging out and (maybe?) coaching high school since 2021 as far as I can tell, he was an advisor at 33rd Team in 2024 and went to visit the Broncos (father in law Joe Vitt is on staff) a few times the last couple offseasons. bizarre hire

hitting on players like Woodson is so crucial to runs like the ones the Patriots just went on. don't think enough people talked about how good he was all year especially as a rookie Day 3 pick. was basically the only guy who could stop Walker tonight

20 candidates to replace Greg Roman as Chargers' OC in 2026 Here are 20 potential candidates for the Chargers' open job, which should be one of the best coordinator openings of the year.

Greg Roman is OUT. I have 20 names on my board for the Chargers to consider as their new offensive coordinator, with a heavy slant towards pass game coordinators who could unlock this offense:

had to. will be interesting to see how Jim Harbaugh approaches this. the Harbaugh tree is pretty thin on the offensive side so it's pretty likely they'll have to go to the extended family, if not outside entirely. candidates coming soon on Chargers Wire

Herbert didn't play well either but he had to be nails to get LA into the bracket. not worried about him unless the offensive staff/personnel/philosophy stay the same. Allen/Gadsden/McConkey/QJ/Harris should be a dream quick game corps. insanely frustrating and has been since the Dolphins game

3 months ago 10 0 1 0

the playoffs expose very small flaws. Chargers offense had huge ones. no quick game, no pressure plan, OTs decimated, drop the run game if it doesn't work in 1Q. been like that all year

the Chargers are (likely) going to give Greg Roman and Mike Devlin the injury excuse and bring them back for a third season.

it's going to end the same way.

there is not a path forward with this offensive staff. they are not capable of rising to the occasion

Milton Williams puts Bradley Bozeman on the ground and then drives Justin Herbert six feet under to end the Chargers season. fitting

what's important to remember about this game is that the Chargers are unwilling to provide you happiness
