I took a deep dive into Montreal's intriguing goaltending prospects. What this says to me, once again, is that Montreal's management team has a very detailed long-term plan, and the more time goes on, the more impressive it becomes: thehockeywriters.com/canadiens-go...
Kucherov’s post–Cup Final comments from 2021 might just become Montreal’s rallying cry in this series: thehockeywriters.com/canadiens-ha...
My column Juraj Slafkovsky, dude of many names and hero of the hour.
Now I have to ask Denis whether it was supposed to be Slafsquatch (after the big-footed beast) or Slafquash (after the vegetable.)
Or all of the above.

I heard Big Game Slaf and Olympic Slaf just now, and of course there was already Second Half Slaf. I also like Slaftrick. 😂
HAT TRICK OVERTIME GAME WINNER JURAJ SLAFKOVSKY
Juraj Slafkovsky becomes the first player in NHL history to score three power-play goals, including an overtime winner, to lead the Canadiens to a Game 1 win #GoHabsGo #THW
I had a band practice and was only able to watch the first period. We were in the middle of our last song and my singer lifted his arms in the air. He had his phone on his music stand. Amazing“Slaftrick”. The PP came through. Too bad I didn’t get to see it live. The show must go on though! 🤟🏻
Are the refs from Quebec trying not to look biased, and overcompensating a little…a lot?
Even after a review. Wow.
That’s two weak calls. Newhook’s was somewhat understandable. That last one was a blown call.
Watching the game at a buddy’s place, and he has Yvan Cournoyer’s stick from the 1971 Cup Finals! A little good luck charm perhaps…
I really like the two Swedes, Stenberg and Björck. They were both sensational at the WJHC. I would probably take Stenberg over McKenna.
Lineup vs. lineup, it’s hard to argue Montreal has a clear edge. But they’ve got clear X-factors who can tilt this series. Either way, this should be fun! Let's all enjoy it, no matter what the outcome. Remember to breathe, everyone!

The Habs will be the youngest team in the NHL playoffs again this year.

Mats was my favourite player growing up.
A milestone full of memories! 😁
Congratulations to Nick Suzuki on reaching 100 points on the season!
Must have felt so great for him to finally make his NHL debut. youtube.com/shorts/WuazF...
Michael Hage is going back to Michigan for another year. Bit of a surprise, but we’ll find out more about why, at some point soon.
In the last 14 WHL playoff games, defenceman Bryce Pickford has 15 goals, including the OT winner and two of Medicine Hat's three goals last night in the opening match of the east semi-final. I'm being told that that's good.

Impressive 3rd period win in Boston for TB - Lightning in 2nd place again via tiebreaker with Habs. Montreal’s game in hand in a few hours vs CBJ.
