Absolutely cannot recommend Open Hair Space enough! I’ve been with them since I moved up to the cities 3 years ago and will never leave them if I don’t have to!
Ice is still here just operating in different ways, like doing kidnappings on a Sunday night at 10 PM. Make sure you’re still connected to hyper local networks so you’re able to respond when neighbors need help.
Your new Minneapolis DFL Chair and Vice Chair! Thank you so much to everyone who made convention yesterday happen! We had such a blast! @ayanajsk.bsky.social and l are honored to have been elected! So much so this is the only picture we managed to take together yesterday. #Minneapolis #DFL
Proud and honored to have received an A rating from Stonewall DFL! I’m committed to continued allyship with my 2SLGBTQIA+ neighbors, and to the continued work of building a safe and equitable Minnesota.
Thank you @stonewalldfl.bsky.social
I appreciate the delegates at the @mplsdfl.org convention taking this important stand today! As a city, we are better when democracy is allowed to express itself in full. Stripping away every vestige of authority from city council (or park board) weakens us as a community. Our voices matter.
I made the news!!
And some of us from Saint Paul went to help our friends in Minneapolis run a very efficient convention!
I am so honored that you asked me to run alongside you. I cannot wait to see what we do together.
Thank you to everyone for believing in us! Let’s get to work!
I love Minneapolis. Grateful to know so many people who make home such a great place to live. Serving as vice chair as MPLS DFL allowed me to see how local issues affect national politics. @ayanajsk.bsky.social @elitalksmpls.bsky.social are going to do great work with us 💙
Stonewall DFL is pleased to announce its decision in the race for Minnesota Auditor. Read more at our statement linked below!

reposting this - I haven't seen anyone discussing this much, and I know some people might have knee-jerk negative reactions to this change, but it will make Minneapolis DFL conventions far more sustainable and easier on volunteers. I strongly recommend delegates vote to accept these changes Saturday
The ground is thawing, but the fight isn't.
You showed up, standing up against ICE and taking care of our neighbors.
Let's re-elect the DFL leaders who were on the frontlines with us.
Endorsement As Chair, I know Ayana will work diligently to build up the Minneapolis DFL into a secure party unit with an eye towards the future. I trust her to effectively develop volunteer networks, to run conventions and other events smoothly, and to bring stability to the role and to the unit as a whole. Image of Luna Brekke. Luna Brekke. At-Large Director, Stonewall DFL & the DFL Progressive Caucus Experienced, Progressive Leadership. Coalition & Relational Organizer. Ayana Smith-Kooiman for Minneapolis DFL Chair.
Endorsement Ayana is incredibly smart, talented, and witty. She has been an amazing friend and teacher to me during our time in the DFL. She is always willing to fight for what is best for everyone, and I have no doubt she’ll be an incredible Chair. Image of Ash Smith. Ash Smith. Secretary, Stonewall DFL and 6-3 Delegate Experienced, Progressive Leadership. Coalition & Relational Organizer. Ayana Smith-Kooiman for Minneapolis DFL Chair.
Our city unit needs leadership that invites participation and equips participants to engage effectively. Luna and Ash know that I will be a party chair for every DFLer and stand firm in our progressive values. It’s an honor to have their endorsements for Minneapolis Chair.
❤️❤️❤️ much love to @brianaroselee.swifties.social @dexanderson.com @ayanajsk.bsky.social @nickkruse1.bsky.social @joshmartinmpls.bsky.social @elitalksmpls.bsky.social and everyone else for your commitment to the queer community and ensuring this party is a safe place for everyone! ❤️❤️❤️
You’re fucking joking
Happy to see Richard Carlbom affirm that the "big tent" of the DFL goes both ways, not just to the right as some would prefer.
I wonder how much money they wasted on this! Clearly not a volunteer effort.
It’s actually because she said she would pay and then didn’t!
A party finding its way back from the wilderness can’t afford to waste its time removing the growing and energetic part of its base. We’re proud to stand with @mydfl.bsky.social , the DFL Progressive Caucus, and the DFL Disability Caucus in working to build the party, not tearing it down.
To all the alleged advocates of the repealer on the bathhouse ordinances who assured me that Mayor Frey was 100% on board, just know I’m a) taking note of your silence and b) never taking you seriously ever again.
Her memory will always be a blessing to me. I miss her so much, and I hope I get to see her again one day ❤️
I think about Cynthia a lot this time of year and everything that was taken from all that knew her. She was a bright light in such a dark world, especially as we came out of the pandemic.
She remembered my grandma and told me stories about her that I had never heard. I was off at college for most of the time before she passed away in September of 2019. My grandma is still one of the most important people in my life, even in death.
The place we worked at had a lot of downtime, and only two of us worked together at a time, so we got to know each other well. I found out during the time that we worked together that Cynthia had been a CNA at the LTC facility my grandma lived at after she had a stroke and fell.
4 years ago today, my wonderful and beautiful friend and co-worker, Cynthia, died in a car accident while bringing a resident at a facility we worked at together to an appointment. She was only 22 when she died.

Hey! So @elitalksmpls.bsky.social and I need to raise another $2200 to feed 40 families this week. If you donate $50 or more and post or message proof, I will draw a bird for you. If you donate $100 or more, my son Micah will draw a bird for you.

The House DFL Caucus held strong and didn't give one vote to the transphobic mess that the House GOP threw out today. Stonewall DFL will work to continue to ensure that our House and Senate DFL Caucus hold the line on trans rights here in Minnesota.
Additional thanks to Liz Lee (HD67A), Kelly Moller (HD40A), @xpleeformnhouse.bsky.social, @repkimhicks.bsky.social, AND @larrykraft.bsky.social for speaking out as strong allies to our community.
Thank you so much to the amazing members of our Minnesota Queer Legislators Caucus, especially our endorsed candidates @leighfinke.bsky.social, @davidformn40b.bsky.social, @repliishkozlowski.bsky.social, and @jesshanson.bsky.social for your speeches on the House floor today defending our community.
