I cannot even begin to tell you.
How fast you will move to the top of my ballot.
If you publicly antagonize AI.

I don't recall any previous transformative technologies that had to be sold to the public so hard. No one in 1999 was going, "Guys. Cell phone? It's coming, whether we like it or not. I think it's important, FOR WOMEN ESPECIALLY, to learn about cell phone. So that we're not left behind!!"

Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi (1983) with Chief Articulation Engineer / Production Assistant Stuart Ziff Podcast Episode · Hey, That's Me! - A Commentary Podcast · April 16 · 2h 28m

There is an IndieGoGo for a documentary being made about Stuart. A lot of very cool rewards for extremely reasonable prices. I really want this movie to be made. Please donate!

He also was a production assistant for the movie and has some really insane stories. He was the head of the Ghost Shop for Ghostbusters, worked on all three of the original Star Wars movies, as well as two of the original Star Trek movies, among many other things.

After 39 Years, It's Officially the End of an Era for Disney It's the end of an era at the House of Mouse.

Among the Disney layoffs include their entire home entertainment division (ie the people responsible for DVD/Blu-ray releases)?

FBI agent Denise played by David Duchovny and Dale Cooper, played by Kyle Maclachlan, Twin Peaks 1990

David Duchovny played a transgender woman, Denise, on Twin Peaks in 1990 and when greeting Cooper, the show's protagonist, she says, "I prefer Denise, if you don't mind" and Cooper responds with "OK" and her identity is settled within a couple seconds and was a non-issue, 36 years ago.

Asking questions like “what do you mean by Jewish state” “what do you mean by Zionism” “what do you mean by right to exist” quickly reveal many people foam at the mouth over a cause they know little about + a significant contingent who know defining these terms will dissolve their coalition

This week on @heythatsmepod.bsky.social, I did an audio commentary on my favorite episode of the X FILES reboot seasons, Rm9sbG93ZXJz, with the writers! Check it out! It's very fun.

One of the cool things about being overly online and reading too much news is that it becomes clear when a certain Story becomes The Thing. You watch in real time as a particular narrative emerges and gets repeated over and over until everyone goes, "Oh, it's always been that way."

Left: a show whose writers constantly introduced major plot turns without any idea how to deal with them later.

Right: a show whose creators came up with their ending early on and stuck to it, no matter the mounting evidence that it was no longer viable.

Planning in TV is wildly overrated.
