Well like...America ten to fifteen years ago. Still opportunities to stop degradation of rights but cynically - its not likely. Lots of legislation happening that takes indigenous representation out of laws, environmental concerns minimised etc. for the long term. Very pro-privatisiation
I'm a junior doctor in NZ - trained here and its true, the pay in Australia is MUCH better, and working conditions. Govt is right wing at the moment but introducing lots of laws that have ongoing repercussions many years in to the future. Things have changed a lot in the last ten years
So proud of the kids, both of them got perfect report cards, excellence in all areas (!) and Mr 11 got an award for Te Reo Me Ōna Tikanga and Miss 7 got Kaitiakitanga 🥰🥰 I'm so pleased for them! So glad the went to the puna reo, they're both thriving #maoriexcellence

Every year the media blames patients for inappropriately clogging up ED… when we all know that the data shows the REAL BIG PROBLEM is a lack of investment in community services.
THE HOSPITAL IS BLOCKED BECAUSE WE CAN’T SEND PEOPLE HOME.
But every time we try to spend on care in the community the media starts printing garbage about turning into communists, lazy people taking advantage of handouts etc.
And the political football is passed around while people sit on plastic chairs for 22 hours.
