The blue light from your phone isn't ruining your sleep For a decade, we've been told our screens are wrecking our sleep. The real culprit is far bigger than the glow from your phone.

They've been lying to you about blue light

For 10 years we've heard blue light from screens is ruining our sleep. It's a great story, but it's not what the science says

The real culprit isn't the glow from your phone, and I've got real advice that could fix your sleep

Here's the thing. The reason why National tanked the economy so hard in two years is they appear to genuinely believe in "trickle down" economics ala Liz Truss. Since day one, they've cut the legs off of middle & low income Kiwis - repressed wages, ignored cost of living, ignored energy 1/4

Imagine putting some efforts into writing a piece or some work, then stepping back to check if the entire thing is going to read like it’s LLM generated. Do you tweak it or dumb it down? What will that even look like.

T. rex took 40 years to reach full size, study finds Tyrannosaurus rex may have taken far longer to grow up than scientists once thought. By analyzing growth rings in fossilized leg bones from 17 tyrannosaur specimens and using new statistical methods, ...

That's because they coddle them too much now. Back in my day, it only took 20 years for T-Rexes to fully mature, because they had discipline. Spare the rod, spoil the terrible tyrant lizard.

I don't want or need a president that silences the conversations that protect people that aren't "culturally normal.🤡"

That's how fascists chip away at the base of good people.

I do want and need a president that will prioritize protecting the most vulnerable.

That's how you protect people.

When you say AI or AGI, don’t you think that at least something with its own agency? Or some agency of sort. LLMs don’t fall in this category. We are still far from it by the look of things.

It’d be exhausting having family members like that. Constantly rejecting their position is important for sure.

by “heavy data and software infra”, you mean already existing code bases with established patterns? I can see that becoming a bottleneck for LLMs too.

What the fuck is that

Exactly. Can be quite depressing.

Awesome! I was thinking of this a couple of weeks ago. Great to see that it was implemented. ❤️

> by first writing code

That's poorly worded on my side

Yep. That's my point.

I get this. However, don’t you think we are better reviewers and eventually better problem solvers by first writing code? And to continue getting better, we need to keep this cycle going. If it breaks, i.e no more code, then our reviewing and understanding abilities degrades?
