In the first panel, Viktor looks in the mirror, in profile. "A gray hair," he thinks. A reflection of him holds his chin in thought in the second panel, while a note stuck to the mirror reflects his continuing thought. "Is that...possible?" A breath takes place between the panels, and the third shows Jayce and Viktor on a grassy hill, clouds and mountains in the background behind them. Viktor peers at his pleased partner. "Jayce." A cut-in panel shows Jayce's slight concern and curiosity as he turns to look back at Viktor.

Within the grassy establishing shot of the first panel, Viktor in silhouette leans over to grab something from the green, presumably a flower. "I've grown," he begins, before falling silent. "It appears I've grown," he begins and pauses again. "A few gray hairs." "I see," Jayce responds in the second panel. "Are you worried?" His dialogue continues into the third panel, and he himself brings a clutched hand to his chest. "We're growing old. Or we will, in theory." The fourth panel shimmers with splotches of hexcore overlapping an impression of the night sky, with two images of Viktor's left hand enveloped in slight aura; the first image is the back, the other the palm. Jayce's words continue: "No one body lives in perpetuity." Viktor replies: "But our bodies...they should have remained unchanged from a certain point in the timeline of the arcane."

Jayce places his hand on Viktor's shoulder in the first panel. "We were always bound to change. I had an inkling, back in Piltover," he assures. A panel of a younger Jayce making a speech overlays the first panel perpendicularly, and he continues: "The arcane, or perhaps you, or the universe, has given us a chance to approach it slowly." The third image is unbounded, and Viktor gives a sly look to Jayce. "Given?" Jayce looks away. "Alright, maybe we took it." "We?" Viktor clutches his crutch between his hands in the fourth image, the epitome of innocence and elegance. Jayce ducks a little, wrapping his hands around the handle of his cane. "We're partners, aren't we?" The fifth panel has Viktor turn more towards Jayce, relenting. "I suppose." "See." Jayce makes an indiscriminate pointing gesture.

In the first panel, a cut-in, Jayce leans on Viktor. "I am grateful for the chance, at least," Viktor says. The final splash contains far-reaching clouds, with mountains and pine forest, and both Jayce and Viktor in the middle ground, a grassy hill with flowers evocative of the one that Jayce and his mother landed upon after being saved by a mage. "Yeah. Me too," Jayce replies.
