You can’t have Originalism for one amendment but not the others and the solicitor general/current conservative movement wants to have the cake and eat it too. If the constitution is dead, congrats! So birthright citizenship is law. Full stop.

If you want a dead constitution, fine. But that means the arguments used to give 2A sweeping power can be used for the 14th doing the same thing. Context at the time of drafting is all that we have, so new developments, like automatic rifles and illegal immigration, doesn’t change the meaning.

I believe you are confusing what the argument is settling on. Pro-2A folks feel that new fangled guns/tech doesn’t change how 2A is applied. But because there are new forms of immigration, the constitution can be “reinterpreted” to cover that, which is the OP point.
