At least I can use this on my phone. I just end up having to block so many new followers each time
Posts by EmmaT
I find threads better for chatting but the app just doesn't work for me (replies are ok) so I'm rarely on it on desktop. It's so slow. But here it's just all people following I'm not interested in, so the end up blocking lots and having no chats
So nice remembering it's a bank holiday tomorrow. Extra day off work.
I'm going to have to start using bluesky more. Threads just duplicate all my posts via app until I uninstall so it's unusable except on desktop. So will see if I can find similar people here.
Picked up a mistle thrush on the merlin app for the first time. A new bird on the farm/garden to add. Love the dawn chorus. So many different birds (and people say farming destroys habitats. Beg to differ here)
His PE kit is also still dumped on the hall floor despite me telling him all week to put it in the wash. Why do teenagers not listen or act and then leave it all til the last minute.
N's just announced his school blazer needs washing. I did all his normal dark wash last weekend at the start of half. Finally did the white wash incl school shirts today, along with 2nd wash of husband's stuff. Fuming there's more washing to do this weekend & no drying room as 2 full clothes horses
'Hi' works much better on emails
Bit chilly in the office today. Not very busy today as it's half term
So, Threads keeps multiplying all my posts, and I'm getting no response to help. So looks like I'll have to make an effort here instead.
Me. That's why I've blocked so many people on here because I don't want to get drawn into conversations. And I just see to get extremists following me, and for some reason bluesky doesn't have the option to just remove a follower. Had enough of that on Twitter. I'd rather see more breadth of topics
So frustrating. Have just come off the treat of 3 months free Amazon Unlimited. But I'm not paying more subscription on top of Prime. I might just have to make a Youtube playlist and suffer through the ads.
Urgh, Amazon Prime music is rubbish. I want to add 1 track to my line dancing playlist, but no, it won't play that song, just every other song off the album except the one I want. Now having to play through my playlist, and it still won't play that track, it's now playing tracks not even on the list
At this rate it'll take him forever in this stage because he won't get a consistent amount of time wearing them.
Son finally has elastics on braces. He wore them overnight but won't wear them for school because he'd be faffing before school, at break, before and after PE, breaktimes with playing football, eating. Then after school he'll want to eat. How many times a day are other kids switching theirs out?
Overflowing wash basket from son which includes 5 school shirts, 4 pairs of jeans, football kit, and 2 pairs of joggers (hvent seen him in joggers for weeks). But no school trousers. Sigh. He'll have to come and find them while I'm ut because he'll have none to wear on Monday otherwise
It seems starting line dancing means I listen to a lot more music at home. Country Heat station on Alexa is my preferred.
Child has finally got round to clearing out his t shirt drawer (only taken since the summer). 4 still with tags on, 2 also I don't think he's worn. Will Vinted some, some are ok for charity shop, rest will go for rags. Now we'll be able to fit everything in. Next up... underwear drawer, I hope
I have no idea how many I'm making tea for. Would be nice to know. And what time.
Expensive error, but not as bad as it might have been if that dish was wrecked. Damn getting distracted by a morning of meetings
My Le Creuset casserole dish is looking ok. Getting there removing the blackened 5 hours forgotten about in the top of the aga beef casserole, when I meant to put it in the simmering oven after only 10 minutes. Phew. Had to get takeaway pizza in the end as none in the freezer, and shop is tomorrow
Must stop on social media and do my food order! Distracted
Nope, I pop on occasionally to see the few people who aren't on here/threads. Enter comps. And keep it to moan at Stagecoach, ask for Tesco shopping refunds, and do customer service stuff with other companies there.
Such good fun at line dancing class again. Met 2 more new people, learnt 2 new dances as well as going through the 4 previously learnt. And got a bit of a sweat on by the end
My alarm went off at 7. On a Sunday. Could really have done with another hour. But son has a car washing job at 9, and he needs me to get him and his stuff there as a bike wouldn't work. Then I'm going to get my own car washed which isn't a good advert for his car washing skills currently
Homework given last week. 15 mins. Instead of doing it when given or over the weekend, it was left til yesterday then left on the side. Reminded him this morning to put it in his bag. Guess where the homework is now.
Reckon it's warmer outside in the sun than it is in the house, even with a bit of heating on, and my blanket over me. But the fog is now coming in.
We're lucky in that we usually have homemade ones off the farm, but run out so trying to get the nearest flavour ones from the farmshop or butchers. I'd be happy either way cooking them, but they're usually just done in the aga - the husband prefers that method. Might have just needed a less time
Note to anyone who starts to following with low followers/but multiple thousands you're following, you'll likely be blocked (sorry, but no remove follower option on here). Especially if you're either just reposting rubbish, have no bio, no real profile pic, or have no discussion on here.
Not everyone is a rich estate owner. My husband hasn't been on an overseas hol in 14 yrs, just 2 short breaks in the UK. I pay for holidays from my job (son & I) because I don't think we should miss out. He runs an 02 plate Disco on the farm. There are also non farmers who have those things & more
