I'm not so sure??? The Bennets sans Mary have persisted on the whole in being mean-spirited in a way that I can't align with the source material. I'm also on episode 3 and Mary is wearing the most hideous, ill-fitting period piece costume I've ever seen. What is this red and green monstrosity?

I really don't understand. Why is everyone dressed like Bridgertons? Why of why cast Tanya Reynolds as Caroline Bingley? Why are the Bennet sisters all giving Mary the evil step sister treatment? Help.

I really wanted to like The Other Bennet Sister, but I'm not 20 minutes in and some of the decisions made around costuming, casting, and changes to the characters' personalities are just atrocious and just pulling me out of it.

I was pleased to learn this year that lilac flowers are edible. This meant, of course, that I had to make lilac cordial. It was ready in time to be paired with churro rhubarb cupcakes and birthday festivities.
