I maintained an account here and checked the app every now and then cause this felt like the best chance any app had at succeeding twitter, but now that Threads is out, it’s clear nothing else will even come close. So, goodbye!

Tried the What’s Hot feed. 90% of content here is just people hating on Twitter.

The problem is that this platform, like Mastodon, is largely dead… so there’s nothing to look at.

Twitter has rate limited me already (for no reason) so I’m gonna try out Bluesky today

Bluesky is definitely better in one way... is uses San Francisco, allowing me to have the outlined letter style! I hate that Twitter's font forces me to use the filled in style. I also just hate that Twitter uses a custom font.

The amount of random people following me is insane. Almost spammy.

Just remember that Twitter is the epitome of vocal minority. The majority of Twitter users are not affected by the changes and don’t care. It’s not going anywhere

You should come back to Twitter tho

I have zero faith that any decentralized social media primarily comprised of techies will ever succeed. So yeah, not ditching Twitter.

What’s the best third party app for this? The official one is horrible. I’m currently using Moot, but it’s pretty limited.
