Over on IG I've been posting an AAPI book a day to celebrate AAPI heritage month. They are all kid lit and YA books except for 1 adult book I snuck in there, but it is by a YA author so it still counts. The beautiful thing is I have more books than days to celebrate. The whole King drama really encapsulates why we should never idolize people. Because they will always disappoint you. After all, they are human. I wish he had listened to marginalized voices and just apologized instead of doubling down. Now an author I loved since I was a child, is no longer a fave.

It's not a bad idea to go to the local Walmart or big box retailer and buy lots of consumables now. From toothpaste to soap, anything you can find storage space for, buy before they have to replenish inventory.

Even if it's made in the USA , they will jack up the price and blame it on tariffs.
