I don't know if this is actually my answer, but I never got to watch Planet of the Apes without the Simpsons ruining the ending for me.

a cartoon says hi super nintendo chalmers in white letters Alt: Ralph Wiggum says hi super nintendo chalmers in white letters

It’s such a dumb one, but this always cracks me up

No, no, we got it.

Wait, you need to feed a *Navy* also??

As a (very) lapsed Catholic, I wasn't all that surprised to be in agreement with the Pope, but being on the same side as the USCCB is WILD!

I have one, and I love it. A secondary benefit is that my wife and kids HATE that I refer to it by its entire government name as “battery daddy” every single time.

Baker's Chocolate - Wikipedia

Also weirdly Baker's Chocolate isn't named that because it's the chocolate you use for baking! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baker%2...

That's actually more accurate than I thought. 500cc making ~20hp is squarely within riding lawnmower engine range these days

That's a stylish lawnmower!

That's something that's always felt tricky about bike shares. I'd love to rent a bike (or scooter) for a short trip in a city I'm visiting! But I didn't bring a helmet with me, and it feels wildly dangerous to be riding around on strange streets like a Hell's Satan

It’s got to be quitting time today, because my brain read that and said “The soundtrack to the movie ‘American Beauty’? What an odd choice!” 💀

picture of a gray baseball hat with "sublime wrote scarlet begonias" on it, being written by Bart Simpson as a Grateful Dead bear.

The troll in me kind of wants this hat.

I got your dupe copy of disk 1 of Phish’s A Live One out of it, so it wasn’t all bad!

Taking the train up from Baltimore to see it with my 15-year-old in a few weeks, and I’m really looking forward to it!

This came up on my NYT Recipe-a-day Calendar today, and I really thought it was an April Fool’s joke at first. Happy Passover everyone!

Screenshot of a facebook post from Chick and Ruth's Delly in Annapolis. The post says "we heard you... and we delivered. Introducing our brand new crab cake milkshake. Available starting today" Under the post is a picture of a "milkshake" that appears to be cream of crab soup, with a crabcake on top and an old bay rim, with a straw sticking out.

Seriously, don't threaten me with a good time!

The British Library was the underrated hero of my last vacation to London. The Treasures Room was mind blowing! Magna Carta, Gutenberg Bible, Shakespeare First Folio, and The Beatles lyrics all in one room. And we also got to see the Enigma machine they have.

Eh, I have the same car as your wife, and it doesn’t seem that weird 😂

I feel like it’s also important to say that this is quite clearly an impeachable offense! This needs to go on the list of impeachment articles immediately.

Manipulating the operation of the mail for your political advantage is something the founders would have flagged!

That sucks and it's so frustrating!

But can I suggest (as gently as possible) that you might consider choosing another provider who doesn't have "parody account" in their bio? After 12 years of healthcare from a parody account, you may want to get a second opition and full eye exam.

I thought it when I read the book, but seeing the movie reminded me: Grace’s decision at the end of the flashback timeline is SO completely unbelievable. It’s not how a human being (whether brave or cowardly) would act!

Italy mid-pack on that list is still just jaw-dropping!

I think? It looked like coconut milk to me, which made sense with the pineapple. Could be something else, though

I'm here for that pineapple-coconut-queso thing going on in the center, though

@callmemrwiggles.bsky.social I don't think we should need to wait until Cruz Azul or Chivas make the Super Bowl to have this at your party.
