After most of my decks were stolen, this was the first Mono-White Commander I built as a way to challenge myself to build new decks I haven’t built instead of rebuilding the old decks I lost. There’s a good amount of synergy with this card in White that makes it pretty consistent as a Commander.

Just wanted to come out and say that with the new Mathemagics usage of exponential notation, you can re-write the oracle text of Game of Chaos to express the life loss/life gain in powers of 2.
Tagging @itsannamargaret.com because I know she would love this.
Hear me out:
I’ll take some time to look over this weekend!
You should listen to the Lady Gaga X Dead Battery Mix.

Considering there was Aetherdrift, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Chandra in CrossWorlds.
The new Sonic Racing CrossWorlds game lets you race with Hatsune Miku, SpongeBob Squarepants, and characters from Avatar the Last Airbender. Is this just not MTG’s Universe Beyond? Currently, TMNT will also be featured in the game. Can we use this to predict TMNT in MTG? 🤔
Holy shit, I was very close to calling it.

It’s time to bring Masako out.
My prerelease kit:
Well, it really depends on what mechanics @quad9s.bsky.social likes in MTG. Not all Mono-Colors might have what they’re looking for.
More like One Winged Angel
No, this is exactly what I dreamed of, so I’m more than content.

The mad lads did it:
This is the kind of card that would make me want to play Green. Pair it with Gaea’s Cradle, Shifting Woodland, Strip Mine. You name it.
Aristocrat
I think what’s funny is that Enduring Renewal, Deathrender, and Ashnod’s Altar all date back to as early as 2007–almost 20 years ago. Nim Deathmantle came out in 2010–which was 15 years ago. It’s not like my wins hinged on new White cards in 2022 and afterwards.
The game is rich enough in card diversity that players can play through combos in Split Second and they can just use Split Second as another Silence effect.
Everytime I watch a short from @veggiewagon.bsky.social and read the comments section, it makes me think when people said “White cards suck” way back when.
Seems like it had more to do with people not knowing how White cards worked versus them actually sucking.
Scryfall today lol:
Gilgamesh from FFV, or the version from FFXIII wielding 6 guns, or the version from FFXV with one arm, and—last but not least—the big ass Adamantoise from FFXV lmao:
Wake me up when MTGxFF spoils this guy:
I can see a Naya version of Gilgamesh showing up in the Cloud Ex-Soldier precon.
Me too.
Hell, I wanna see Gilgamesh in whatever version they give us. He better do something silly with equipments. Would be even sweet/goofy if we see his art wielding the Mirran swords from MTG lmao.
Now that early previews started for MTGxFF, here are some things I think we’ll see in the FF Standard set or Commander decks:
1. Party mechanic (or some variation) similar to FFXIV’s party system.
2. Class cards like Paladin Class but in Job form.
3. Battle On The Big Bridge as an actual Battle.
This is more feedback on how Moxfield’s code sorts decks into Brackets. I don’t think I’m introducing anything new for you guys to see. If I find a criterion that should be added for a Bracket category (like how cards that tutor for any land should be counted as a tutor), I’ll let you all know!
You can shortcut this a bit by running Rest In Peace instead of Relic of Progenitus and now you'll be able to draw cards at 1 mana from Ashnod's Altar!
