You’re an idiot. We’ve never been more entertained. Life would be a lot better if we actually had things we had to do.

We are at an entertainment nadir? If your great grandfather saw our world, his head would probably explode. We are a species entertaining itself to death.

Browsing live webcams at 2400 baud from around the world with World Explorer for C64 OS. 😁 It’s smoother at faster speeds, but nonetheless cool to do it at 2400. #C64

Huh. Neat. So what they say about BlueSky is true.

Not by choice. The algorithms probably think I like MTG now because I’ve “engaged.” Honestly the game was fun. But if you didn’t keep buying cards you couldn’t continue to play against anyone who did buy more cards. And they went nuts and released new cards with abandon. No chance to catch a breath.

I stopped playing Magic like 25 years ago, when I realized the only way to stay competitive is to keep spending ass-tons of money for the rest of my life. No thanks.

Someone on X replied to me with this Star Trek meme. It inspired me to convert it to a CGFX animation. Hilarious, love it. #C64 #StarTrek

I’m adding support for higher density backdrops in App Launcher. These are some renders I did, to try it out. #C64 I think they look pretty good. This is text mode, not bitmap mode. With limited custom characters available to work with.

If I think no one has seen what I’ve posted, but I know 2000 people have seen the same thing I’ve posted on Twitter, I’m not going to be inclined to keep spending time posting anything here. It feels like I’m talking into an empty hall around here.

Does anyone else using BlueSky see how many views their posts have received? Am I the only one who doesn’t see them? I have a feeling they’re hiding this from me so I don’t feel dejected by how scanty are the views of what I’ve posted.

This looks super awesome too. Though I imagine you need a lot of practice to make progress, memorizing the patterns that are coming at you.

I’ve been working on a new App for C64 OS. It’s called “World Explorer.” Click the map or pick cities from a list, and watch live webcams from around the world streaming directly to your #C64! It’s pretty cool. Here are some screenshots.

Exceptional graphics. Smooth gameplay. Brilliant accomplishment. But frustratingly difficult to play, and a bloody shame because I'll never get to see any of those wonderful graphics beyond the first level.
