Yes, I think this might be the closest we can get to understanding it.
He doesn’t specifically spell it out, or perhaps I’m just not smart enough to understand it, but I think he’s getting at the idea that we’re only catching glimpses of something bigger (and connected) and it’s so far outside of our understanding that we really can’t put it all together.
