It’s a mark of how completely normalised the corruption & depravity have become that we barely bat an eyelid at the thought of two *property developers*, one Trump’s nepo baby son-in-law, being sent to represent the USA in peace negotiations with Iran. Sometimes it all hits you afresh.

And as I'm reading the Soviets made their colonies a 'prison-house' then the US/Palantir's goals of wiping them out is also awful. The US cannot make other countries better because it only intends to bringThunder-Dome Capitalism with foreign (mostly US) control.

No no its all good. I'm wary of promoting any state or full ideology and my education and the internet are all very theory heavy. The point about the Soviet colonies/satellites is important here I think.

After a quick glance at your bio I am going to be coming from a more speculative position. That aside, pre-Revolution they weren't workers; they were peasants.

Okay I know why CEOs hate Communism but why should workers hate Communism?

I've done a quarter marathon and while I think it takes a certain madness to do a marathon I was made aware of Ultra Marathons when I read What We Talk About When We Talk About Running by Haruki Murakami (30 miles and more).

Ugh it is a shame. My child goes to an elementary school called Prairie View and that was true when I went there as a child but it should be called Suburb View now.

I feel like pre-2008 the prevailing notion was "it works out" but circa 2013 with two kids I was at a supremely bleak moment. My life turned around getting a corpo job in 2014 but I'm under no illusions that it's a pathway for anywhere near enough people.

Sorry man. Give yourself some time. Connect with the family that needs it and the ones that want it and cherish the good times as you can.

Literally refused to set any of that shit up in my house. My parents got us a little Alexa thing for weekly calls to them. Every week it comes out of the box for an hour and then right back in afterward.

Rectangular comic panel showing an old timey urban street at night, lit by multiple lamps. A barricade has been erected across the middle of a street, and armed folks mill around. A teenager with a basket is calling out "Got more arrows!"

A true man discreetly pees at the inner side of the bowl instead of pissing directly into the water and making a noise. That's fucking confidence (or not who gives a shit).

I want a scene in the Hershey movie to be someone saying "no no it needs to taste like puke. add the unnessecary ingredient that makes it taste like puke."

Oh snap, I'm going to have to actually pre-order tickets and go into a packed theatre, aren't I? I've been (jokingly) complaining to my kids that they won't watch Digital Circus with me (because they watch it IMMEDIATELY when eps drop) so this is mostly on me. And also very very cool! Big success!

There is also the long term campaign against Communists which casts bigger potential changes as anti-Capital anti-Christian and anti-Democratic even if they aren't. Like LGBTQ legislation. Conservatives are hamstrung by this moreso and see a benefit for themselves at the expense of (the) others.

It's tough because I think a majority (R and D) of the country is Liberal as in they assume change takes place little by little over time and they accept past improvements like Civil Rights Acts and the 14th and 19th and they can't really fathom that the people in power want to wipe that away.
