Wemby receives an honor that had nothing to do with the 65-game rule:

Spurs pre-game honored Art Bayern, 92, who is retiring after 50 years on the stat crew: “I'm delighted I'm retiring, but on the other hand, I'm going to miss it. After 50 years, I've gotten used to coming down every night.”
Asked Mitch if Wemby and the other regulars would play Sunday: “We’ll see how everybody wakes up tomorrow, have initial conversations…And so, yeah, I wouldn't rule out Steph and I wouldn't rule in everybody that played tonight. But we'll have those conversations in the next 48.”
Mitch Johnson on Wemby playing through the sore rib: “It was a good hit and he was sore. Typically, when you get hit pretty good and you're sore, it doesn't go away right away. And it's a pain tolerance thing. I'm sure he'll be sore tomorrow, but he made it out good.”
Luke Kornet still hasn't attempted a 3-pointer this season after it was ruled he didn't get his missed corner shot off in time before the 3Q buzzer sounded.
"Good practice," he said.
Wemby said David Robinson serves as inspiration when he does his offseason conditioning work:
“I think he might be the closest thing we have to Hercules in real life. I mean, just conditioning-wise and shape-wise, it was just amazing.”
Castle will miss his 2nd game in a row due to tightness in his right hip. Wemby is questionable with a sore right ankle.
Bismack Biyombo received a large outpouring of support from his teammates, including Wemby, and others in the organization at his gala to raise funds to ease suffering in DR Congo.
"We're brothers," Keldon Johnson said. "And this is what brothers do."

Keldon Johnson had two winning bids tonight at the auction of paintings by young Congolese artists at Bismack Biyombo’s gala, including $15K for one of Muhammad Ali. “Being able to give back in any way I can for Biz and his people means more than anything in the world to me,” Keldon said.
Bismack Biyombo was blown away by how many of his teammates and others in the organization attended his gala to raise money to ease suffering in the DR Congo: “It’s a different thing when you hear about the Spurs organization and when you experience it. They do things different. They show up.”
Dylan Harper said it was a "blessing" to see big brother Ron Jr. notch his career scoring high (22): "In the moment, am I really mad he's scoring? No. Do I got to act mad? Yeah. Just seeing him shine here, the win is the most important thing, but after the win, I mean, he got off."
Spurs injury report for tonight vs. LAC: Barnes remains out, Champagnie questionable.
NBA has announced two broadcast changes involving the Spurs:
At the Clippers on March 16 will now be televised by Peacock. Start has been changed to 9 p.m. Central.
At Sacramento on March 17 will no longer be televised by NBC/Peacock. Start has been changed to a 9 p.m. Central.
Heck yeah
Raptors welcome back Toronto native Kelly Olynyk.
Cool tradition here at Scotiabank Arena: A video welcome in the visitors locker room to former Raptors. In Spurs case, Olynyk, Bismack Biyombo and Corliss Williamson.
Scottie Barnes (quad) is available, per Darko Rajakovic.
Mitch Johnson’s message to his team as it prepares to take the court against a team that’s lost 15 in a row: “It's a team that's full of talent and has lost some close games, and water finds its level, so they're not going to continue to lose every close game.”
Wemby played hard yesterday, no doubt. But consider what De’Aaron Fox said about the Frenchman’s effort: “It’s a toned-down version of what we see in practice.”
The performance placed Castle in elite company: He joined David Robinson as the only players in Spurs history to notch a 40-pt. triple-double. “Honored to even be in that conversation with him,” he said of Robinson, who was in the sellout crowd at the Frost.

Wemby on how scary it is that Castle still has lots of room to improve:
“He's already up there as one of the best players in the league. So, thank God there's still room to improve. It can be crazy for sure.”
Castle said it was a “dream come true to have a game like this.”
Asked what he was most pleased with about the performance, he said, “Just not having to force it. I feel like it just came within the game. I started the game off well, just trying to find my teammates.”
🏰?
Fox, Kornet are game-time decisions, Mitch Johnson said.
Castle will start.
Fifty-three years after he worked as a ball boy at the #Spurs’ 1st game in San Antonio as an ABA franchise, John Drossos was in attendance at NBA Game No. 4,000 for the team last week in Dallas.

Spurs have added Fox to their injury report for Saturday vs. Dallas:
Mitch Johnson on David Jones Garcia, who is out for the season after ankle surgery:
"He's a dynamic scorer who's put a lot of energy into trying to grow defensively and (into) playing without the basketball and (we) hope he gets healthy enough that he can have some (work in the) offseason.”
