I'm probably going to be unpopular for this, but at this point, with this government, pursuing a conversion therapy ban in the UK is not worthwhile and could even be irresponsible. There is no way it will have sufficient teeth and could even make things worse for trans people, particularly under 18s

I'm honestly at the point that when they do come for these people, if I'm still able, I'll point them out. A net negative for society in the main. Almost certainly the same people who drive at 40mph in a 60 zone then continue at 40 in a 30 zone.

My take is that the real aim here is intersex women and FIFA are a bit warier about that because there are almost definitely top level players who would be banned by an IOC style policy. "Trans ban" is media code for a ban on a variety of non-trans women too.
