I have to applaud Ethan for being able to drink alcohol in a dream and, somehow, be drunk when he wakes up.
I think I also heard that the planed Condemned movie was gonna go in a more supernatural direction as well? I gotta respect the *insistence* that the somewhat grounded detective story just HAD to escalate to a bloody intergalactic war.
It is, at the very least, an *interesting* sequel. One that fails at SO FRICKING MUCH, but also charms with its edgy bullcrap.
The side of me that loves camp absolutely *adores* that the game decided to pivot to silly sci-fi nonsense, but a different side makes me think of how much better the game would've been had it exercised even the slightest bit of composure.

I don't wish to trash the devs behind Condemned 2, because they clearly put a lot of effort into several aspects of the game, but BY GOD does it have one of the worst finales of any horror game I've ever played.
I really got that feeling from the trailer, that it was basically gonna be Evil Dead Rise again, but with a mummy (mummies?).
Rise was great, so I'll probably find some enjoyment from this one. But a shame if it's not much more than Rise *again*.
