I’m sorry but I do not at all understand people praising mh Outlanders so much.

Yeah the game looks fine but the character design is the most generic gachaslop I’ve seen

I’m willing to give it a chance but I don’t have high hopes

——probably perfect, I can’t see a single part of it that I wish was done differently.

The fight is fun and intense, the ecology is really cool and unique, his effect on the windward plains ecosystem and culture is awesome, his theme is peak, the armor is…. kinda mid but the AT armor makes up for it

So Rey Dau may just be one of the best designed monsters in the series if not the best.

Honestly if it weren’t for my personal bias for my favorite monsters and the fact that Rey is still so new, Rey Dau would probably be my number 1 monster right now.

The design is——

—- may be his best chance back due to the games connection with mh4u which Monoblos was a big part of.

——design elements that I adore in monster hunter.

And while I do understand that for the sake of game design they couldn’t keep brining back both of the blos Wyverns. I am kinda sad that Monoblos was the one chosen to be dropped. Especially since he was such a big focus in mh1

However Wilds—-

I feel like I’m the only person who doesn’t have a preference for Diablos or Monoblos. I they’re there both amazing but so connected that I can’t really put one above the other

But anyways. Monoblos has a 10/10 fight in every game and his design is such a perfect blend of——

——I honestly think the snow effects when Beo attacks is some of the best effects in mh. My jaw was on the floor when I first saw it and that’s still the case today.

I do wish his relation with Banbaro wasn’t a direct copy of Jyru and Barroth tho

Also he’s a better snow/ice shark than Zamtrios

Best piscene wyvern, and that’s coming g from someone who really likes most of them (except Lavasioth)

He has such a sharp and edgy design but it dosent feel overdone or nonsensical since it fits the animal it’s based on. Plus I have to praise the effects on his fight——

Soooo to make up for it, reply to this post with any mh monster and I’ll give my full and complete thoughts on them

—-there really isn’t anything like Guaridan Arkveld in the series. It does kinda suck that he’s completely unfightable again outside of sos hunts

Granted it’s not as bad as Zoh Shia and I get it for story reasons but like, I just wish I could see him more often and not just the one time

Honestly as a monster I’m not really a big fan of Arkveld or Guardian Arkveld. He’s the worst case of “how can this thing fly” of any monster. Plus the chain whips feel way to quick and fluid

However as a story character I think Guardian Arkveld is amazing. The story is Nata is amazing and——

—However his sound design is top notch, the fight is great, and how he transforms is really cool. I do wish he didn’t look so goofy when on his hind limbs though

But I do feel most of my issues would be fixed if he got some kind of revamp. I would really like to see him in Wilds

I think he’s pretty neat. Probably my least favorite of the three lords. I don’t think the gathering of qurio quest is as amazing as everyone says but it’s still great.

His scales look weirdly metallic and robotic which probably was intentional but I don’t really like it, especially the tail——

I can’t even lie. Silksong I think is the closest any game has gotten to over taking 4U as my number 1 game

I still haven’t even reached act 2 but if it keeps up this level of quality I think it may be my new all time favorite game

I feel like this is probably something most people have already noticed or just don't care

BUT GOG DAMMIT THIS IS SUCH A COOL WORLD BUILDING DETAIL TO ME AND EVEN OUTLANDERS HAS THIS DESIGN DETAIL WHICH MADE ME WANT TO PUBLICLY SHOW IT OFF

But now that leaves the issue with these three, they are the only ones with no wing fingers.

However all of them have very similar beak, head, and body shapes which leads me to believe that they are all closely related and that losing the finger is a shared trait
