I love love love how they immediately showed his empathy and strong sense of justice, like he was just a scared kid and he wanted to help a poor animal he knew the world would immediately distrust and see is ok to kill

They could’ve given him a dog but they specifically chose a pet that is seen as a danger, something that doesn’t attack people unless it’s starving or scared, and is immediately met with fear and being told it should be put down.

Actually there’s something so beautiful in the idea of Amadeus Cho having a coyote pup, something that is seen as a danger without having done anything and is incapable of defending itself, as his companion. They chose to give him something misunderstood that he immediately wanted to help.

I need you to understand the way you interact with characters isn’t apolitical, like you are refusing to engage with a characters story and are creating an idea of them based on shallow material and stereotypes that suit the story you want to create

The female characters are all suddenly vapid and evil and homophobic and the poc characters are all suddenly cruel and mean and sexist
