Carbon taxes are used to fund new Electrical infrastructure to help get us away from Fossil Fuels. If our current infrastructure didn’t need oil this wouldn’t be a problem at all.

I agree that government should cut duty, but that means they’ll have to find the cash elsewhere to fund services etc.
