“Total farm area” is the sum of all of the uses.
”Total crop land“ remains stable if land that would have been left to fallow is instead harvested year after year. Also less “pasture”, that is being used for crops.

Exactly. I live in CK and I get angry watching good farmland disappear. Near Chatham a field is being paved over for what? The irony here is for a farm equipment dealer. Other farmland lost to big souless mcmansions and highways. Scary.
