That's the kind of joined up thinking that screams "I'm an engineer".

I think making use of waste industrial heat is an excellent use of resources. When I was a student we did a tour of distillery and they showed how their waste heat was used to heat the local high school.

The play set up the Eagles to win against the Saints in week 2 or 3 (can't remember which) in the past season.

Lists are the foundation of Dave Damesheks career. Without the publics love of lists he'd be pushing papers somewhere ha

If a lot of teams became as successful at it as Philly then I think there could be an argument for banning it because then you can have a discussion around "are the rules too in favour of the offence"

Apparently here are the 10 that didn't vote for it.

I mean in a regular game the Tush Push is about the 43rd most dangerous thing. I reckon it will get banned because there is likely enough momentum to ban it next year.

But would we be Philly if we weren't at least slightly irritating?

I'm surprised as I was resigned to it being gone. I do think that if the Eagles maintain the level of success with the play then it will go.

It will suck for whatever team end up being the face of the ban.

I suspect the play will be abused when we play you guys this season out of spite

Congratulations on the US winning the gold medal after an incredibly 1 sided victory over me and my mates in the final.

Except the play is in line with the rules. The Packers just can't handle how much better we are at it than you guys.

It reminds me of when they made pass interference reviewable. It is going to cause problems for no gain. I mean I think teams were going to figure out how to stop it sooner or later, as that's what happens on the league.

Someone does something new, exploits the hell out of it then someone stops it.

I mean if there is a screen pass are the blockers no longer allowed to push the runner forward?

Then stop us on the field

The thing is I don't think its going to make that much of the difference. Most of the time the shoving doesn't make a lot of difference.

We have the best OL coach in the league and has found a way to use the OL to get these short yards. Also helps our QB seems can squat a truck.

Being a Giants fan you know how irritating we Eagles fan are.

Do you know the smugness that will come out of us saying "we dominated you all so badly you had to change the rules"

10 months ago 4 0 1 0

Aye but unfortunately you guys will be the faces of this soft whiney move.

10 months ago 0 0 0 0

You should be delighted. Your whining is going to get the shove banned.

But don't worry the Eagles will continue to play big boy football.

Game is as wonderfully flawed as it has always been.

The game has never been better or worse, just had different flaws

The amount of times the defence are lined up offside on the play is incredible.

Officiating it correctly will result in a lot more automatic first downs for Philly.

Should the NFL ban the 'tush push'? The case for and against outlawing Eagles' signature play NFL owners are set to vote for keeping or outlawing the Philadelphia Eagles' signature play. But should they do it?

According to ESPN the success rate (however that's defined) of the play is 86% vs an average of 76% for the rest of the league

We don't just run it on 4th down mate

11 months ago 0 0 1 0

Are you sure about that?

If you were as effective at it as we were you wouldn't want it banned. Essentially we are so much better at this aspect of the game and soft teams like the Bills and Packers can't handle it so want it banned.

I have to admit your GMs statement gave me so much joy

Are you upset that we have beaten you in to the ground so badly that you need to change the rules.

I enjoy that the Eagles so utterly dominated the rest of the league that they had to change the rules.

I don't think it's a waste personally. I completely agree with what you're saying about the benefits we lost.

But in order to rejoin we need to show the benefits. If this trade deal delivers benefits it forms a strong foundation to argue for rejoining
