My observations over the years have been that Cons don't look at what is happening in the world, and they don't think further out than the next election. Carney is a global long-term strategist. That is what Canada needs.

I have with my Dad. He's open to the idea and he worries about leaving me with too much to do. I'm widowed with 4 teens, one with mental health issues. My Mom is a hoarder though, and my Dad knows he'll be in big trouble if he gets rid of stuff without her 'permission'. They're a funny couple. 🤷🏼‍♀️

You're probably right. I don't think those of us who are living through it will ever get over it. I know I won't and neither will my kids, and probably most of their generation. It's the generation after them that I'm curious about how they'll react.

Zero maturity or dignity.

That's what I am hearing from Canadians. I believe the damage is done for at least a decade or two. But if the US shows it is on the right democrstic track for 10ish years, Canadian conservatives will be salivating to come back. But this current generation, maybe the next also, won't fall for it.
