Drawing of a party of heroes fighting lizard dudes.
Let me draw for your thing. I've been told I'm quick, friendly, and affordable!

"Magataotao" on Twitter writes: "I am Catholic. This👇is not my Pope." Attached is a video of the Pope saying that we should search for peace and reject war. A community note under their tweet says: "You are not a Catholic if you do not accept the Pope, but rather a schismatic. Canon 751: “Schism is the refusal of submission to the Supreme Pontiff,” ie. the Pope. https://www.vatican.va/archive/cod-iuris-canonici/eng/documents/cic_lib3-cann747-755_en.html"
first in my bloodline to see someone get excommunicated by a community note

Having Irish and/or Australian coworkers makes everything better. ♥️🇮🇪🇦🇺
As someone who painstakingly handcodes HTML emails to look good, I want to slap the person who decided to make so-called Advanced Typography (“Smart” Justification and Hyphenation) pre-enabled on Microsoft Outlook.
Two consecutive weekends of feeling stupid proud of and blessed by living in Toronto, home to a pretty awesome game-designing and -playing community. 🎲📝🤓
"DnD is a gateway drug" carries with it the less-than-subtle implication that there are other TTRPGs that are harder, more addictive, and less accessible.
Wandered out of the rooms of nerds with dice to see nerds in costumes on the street… I love this city… now I just need to find some Furnal Equinox-ers to complete the experience.
An occupational hazard of being a Breakout attendee is wanting to play more games during the rest of the year.
Got to play a couple of episodes using this awesome sitcom engine… WITH Avery. It’s another @breakoutcon.bsky.social miracle. My good vibes cup overfloweth… and there are 3 more days!!!
Playtesting and playing games run by their designers is one of my favourite aspects of Breakout. Exploring @leafydragongames.bsky.social‘s Burnword was a delight.
Feels like there are fewer non-game-table locations to sit at this year’s @breakoutcon.bsky.social … probably a hotel-driven choice, but it certainly makes for a less comfortable experience to sort your goodies, or just chill between games, standing or on the floor.
One of these years, I’ll run a game at Breakout. So many truly lovely folks make the trip and the @breakoutcon.bsky.social staff are great.
No apologies necessary! I’m thrilled you’re in my city… my slate is comically full, but I might try to bother you at some point to sign my copy of Rom Com Drama Bomb. 🤓
Sad to miss my chickening opportunity with @moreblueberries.bsky.social, but hope his travels and remaining Breakout goes smoothly!
Any mutuals on ye olde BeReal?
Ginny Di is dressed as a redheaded warlock. Small horns sprout from her forehead and there are arcane markings on her cheeks. With blackened fingertips, she holds a burned white cloak over her head. Text on the image reads "Reminder that you can simply decide that the mysterious cloaked stranger is hot. No one can stop you. This is your table."
In fact, every NPC can be hot. Try and stop me. I'll see you in court.
“Do you want to eat a hash brown?” to the tune of “Do you want to build a snowman?”
I want everyone to know that when I say things like "Godspeed" or "thank God" I'm not being Christian about it. It's just faster to type that and convey the same message as "AlanisMorissettespeed".
A very happy GM’s Day to my fellow game facilitators!
One of the crimes of AI has been the destruction of the beautiful "my nephew made this logo for me on his computer!" energy from all the hyper-local plumbers and taco shops. AI slop on white work vans is a crime against humanity.
Listening to Emma Gregory reading Adepta Sororitas audiobooks will make them your favourite faction too (I’m sure the Catholic upbringing and education don’t hurt).
I’ve started doing my research to make this a “when” rather than an “if”.
They think punk means *acting without consent* not *acting in defiance of power*
Nothing like having to grade a call centre worker on how well they served you (to that worker, verbally) to make you feel gratitude for your own less brutal work environment.
…I probably meant Hegel. Not that anyone cares this deep into the message thread, but just in case. 🤓
I’m a game design enthusiast and there are so many resources that I feel like I’m grasping until the author/speaker pivots to Heidegger or something. 🙃
This blog post is so incredibly good and I'm probably going to reference it for every new game I run forever... and have it be the launching point for conversations with prospective players.
I'm not sufficiently academic to fully understand all of the words, but I think I kinda catch the drift. 😅
TFW you vicariously get a 100% objective view of yourself… and it needs to be processed.
