Not having consistent work can make you feel like you're nothing. It is temporary and difficult but doesn't define you! Capitalism doesn't get to decide if you belong or not. You're here and you matter and you're loved and the rest will work itself out

I have been here and felt lost this way. I try to make lists of the things that matter, small as they feel on the face of this kind of grief. Warm bread, soft blanket, Oreo blizzards, smell of rain. You live because you must, and there's always more to find, even if the grand purpose is absent
