On a guitar loop pedal, it all goes into the ether (or if notable seeps into brain to remember sometimes!)

Picador has faith in Sathnam Sanghera's exploration of music of George Michael Picador has picked up a "joyful" book from Sathnam Sanghera in which he explores the "meaning of George Michael" and his music.

❤️ ps: Look out for this book from @sathnam.bsky.social next year (his other books Empireland & Empireworld I’d also recommend): www.thebookseller.com/rights/picad...

I recall similar about Higher State of Consciousness: that breakbeat, time stretched vocal (and of course 303) radically different to the 4/4 thump of the time…..it went off 🧨

Not sure of the track but wasn’t it the Fraunhofer institute in Germany that developed the technology?

Lot of thoughts on the Brutalist. Essential to see in a cinema probably first one, will deservedly win big at The Oscars also PS: seeing a film with an interval is highly novel and could get used to.

A+ fatherly move👌 Weirdly it's not on streaming hopefully Netflix, Apple or someone will snap it up post the cinema debut of 20th anniversary.... unless it's stuck in some music rights wormhole (likely). I note Spinal Tap is not on streaming also🤔

The Brian Jonestown Massacre review – psych-rock survivors play it safe Anton Newcombe and co rummage through the rock history books, but lack the danger and unpredictability their reputation was built on

If you haven’t seen the doc Dig! (understandable as 20 years old and not on streaming) I’d highly recommend it as one of the most accurate and entertaining films on music business from grassroots graft to global success: www.theguardian.com/music/2025/f...

Excellent to see Notre Dame reopened in all its glory, took a visit inside back in 2018 (it’s now a lot lighter) and also saw a great jazz band outside last year 🇫🇷
