I enjoyed Slow Gods. Different in a good way I thought.

I'm cleansing my SciFi/Fantasy pallet with a Jack Reacher book, A Wanted Man.

Hey mate, just finished The Collected Regrets of Clover by Mikki Brammer and started The Calculating Stars by Mary Robinette Kowal.

Regrets was a nice read and I'm enjoying Stars so far.

I suspect that once this administration is gone and this whole debacle is investigated we are going to be subjected to another round of "I was only following orders". Hopefully that will be as successful as it was the first time around.

Written correctly I've no doubt it could work. I'm an original viewer so that reflects in some of my thinking. If they do this I just want it to be "The Expanse" good and if they could retcon the ending that would be awesome. Please and thank you 😁

You could I guess. Probably depends on what tone they want for the show. I see the dynamic as alpha males vying for control so the romantic angle doesn't fit for me.

No problem at all 😁

Hey mate, just started The Mote in Gods Eye. I believe it's "the" book about first contact so we'll see how it goes 😁

Interesting read. I enjoyed it.

I thought the character of Jenna was criminally underused in the original series. If the reboot was to merge the characters of Jenna and Dayna I think that would be pretty awesome. A gunslinger using those skills to pilot an advanced spacecraft. Sign me up 😁

Great article. Not sure I see the Blake/Avon dynamic as a romantic one. For me it's more about Alpha males butting heads and moving grudgingly into respect.

The romance in the original series would have more likely come from Jenna and Cally (I'm thinking of their dynamic in Gambit).

I would watch Gillian Anderson reciting the alphabet and it would still make my heart beat a little faster 😍

While I would be more than happy to watch Gillian be Servalan I love to see Shohreh Aghdashloo take on the roll.

Love the Big Finish stories. I've listened to most of the Tom Baker ones. I often think if the BBC just filmed them we'd all be happy.

I do question calling them audio books though. It's old school but they are radio plays imho 🙂

A Mad King has usurped the power of Congress—which represents the American people. That is, he has seized power that belongs to you and me collectively. He has declared war without consultation with or approval from Congress. And with no imminent threat. This is a profound betrayal of the republic.

Seen this reported from a few sources now. Is it even legal ? I guess if you're a King you can decide what's legal 🤷
