That you “suffered” through that with me for the bit, commendable. It was distinct enough that I could recognize it despite never having it before, bad enough where I wouldn’t do it again (voluntarily), and bearable enough where I’d consider doing the same prank to someone.
Just tested (keep in mind I'm still transferring data over) but I have it mapped through explorer. If I go to check edited photos or videos they load instantly. Probably won't edit from the NAS, but it's great for storage / sharing.
Ended up building out a Synology 1522+ with RAID 5, 4 10TB drives presently with room for one more. This is an absolute game changer for my photo and video work and storage.
Starting to spec out options for a NAS for archival photo and video storage. Anyone have experience / suggestions for this?
