After a year of Duolingo, you could also try some easy Swedish reading with a dictionnaire: books for children, yellow press, ads - whatever is in your reach

I tried too, Chinese, beginner level since I quite some time.

What I found interesting was to read the transcript of what I tried to say: words I know since a long time were mostly correct, but don’t ask about the new ones…

In 2025, I started Chinese for the third time. I did pass HSK1 and since October I’m plateauing on chapter 2 of HSK2. But I’m not worried, I’m a slow learner who likes to simply let things sink in sometimes

2026 will be the year of HSK 2 💪
