Why have I only just decided to watch Silent Witness?!

Plenty of space for a sandcastle?
...but WHY?
'Crisps' can be very broad here... I wonder what would go well with caviar and wine? Wotsits with a nice cabernet sauvignon? Pringles with a pinot grigio?
Good. For some young people, social media can be a life line and can help them discover who they are and build community/friendships. It's the social media companies that need to be targeted as well as the creators of bad/horrible content, not young people
Far too many NIMBYs...
Expansion of the Universe nicely explained by @astrokatie.com
Beautiful! Love this view 🤩
Remember stoping/standing on Grizzly Peak Blvd and enjoying the view over Berkeley and the Bay towards the Golden Gate 👌
I feel there's a dystopian novel/film in there somewhere...
For anyone who is going through @nasaartemis.bsky.social II withdrawal this week - the awe doesn't have to end with splashdown. I don't know about you, but this mission has inspired me to aim higher.
We went back to the Moon & we're just. getting. started.
Ad lunam, ad astra.

Some nice photos from a sunny but windy Bournemouth this morning #Bournemouth #Beach #Surf #Life'sABeach
A collection of photos from a car-free glamping weekend in the Brabant woods outside Diessen in the Netherlands.

Seven years without a driving license, and we’re still waiting to find the limits of the bike-train combination in the Netherlands.
The latest: 100 km by rail from Delft to Tilburg, followed by a 20 km pedal through the Brabant countryside for a car-free weekend escape in the woods outside Diessen.
I'm very much a fan of the N Judah line in San Francisco, which has both tram and underground sections. This might work for busy areas where street level trams aren't suitable, but underground stations would work better
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N_Judah
Similar situation with Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole in the past - now all of the trams are gone. Building a new tram network (potentially with an underground network too) would help regenerate the local high streets and grow the local economy. #Trams #BCP
Bunnies in a raft pull up next to a spaceship capsule, which has just splashed down and is floating in the open sea. Visible in the capsule, two bunnies wave at the ones in the boat.
Daily bunny no.3285 made it home safely
Just shows what great things can happen when we come together with a shared vision, based on science and engineering. This is a future I'm so hopeful for, and wish I could see some of it...
Here's hoping we can boost trading between Commonwealth nations 🤞 #Canada #Commonwealth
Maybe even a tourist tax to fund a metro in BCP? Here's hoping 🤞
I've always been a fan of Los Angeles County Measure R, which raised local sales taxes to improve transport. Would be great if local authorities could do something similar to fund transport. Imagine if @bcpcouncil.bsky.social could do something similar?
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2008_Lo...
If only there was some proper devolution to urban centres, then transport wouldn't have to get approved by Westminster. Towns/cities/conurbations could just get on and build transport. Obviously would need to come with some proper financial devolution to fund the transport...

Now would be a great time to reconsider that 46% cut to NASA’s science budget for FY2027.
Imagine adding an extra floor to the existing building and having a nice shop or bar/pub/coffee shop on the ground floor? Maybe a mews house/terrace round the back? But, who am I to suggest something?!
I'd most likely be a loyalist 🫣
What are we all wearing to the apocalypse?
FYI if you’re talking about the #Artemis II mission and you want to get the spaceflight terminology right, the mission is “crewed,” not “manned.” (NASA made the terminology change official decades ago, so this isn’t new, but a lot of folks just aren’t aware.)
Pink box with sign: free little art gallery
Inside box, tiny art pieces with figurines looking
There are tons of little free libraries in El Cerrito, yet this one is unique - a free little art gallery, complete with tiny art and figurines viewing it.
Check it out on Elm between Key and Cutting, near Del Norte BART.
Nice bathroom scales...
The Artemis II crew has officially surpassed the Apollo 13 record and has traveled farther from Earth than any other humans.
What a time to be alive!

This week's theme was London Landmarks.
Hope you enjoyed it.
