Technically, EVs were cheaper than combustion for a while, but sales margin is higher.
Primary difference b/w EV & Gas are motor, transmission, & battery. Electric motors are cheaper than gas engines by decent margin, EVs have no transmission, battery packs have been expensive but aren't as anymore
