Renting should not mean losing your home with no say in what happens next.

If re-elected the SNP will give private renters the first chance to buy the home they live in at a fair market price if the landlord decides to sell.

Childcare shouldn't be a burden on any family - that's why we're making sure care is available for every child in Scotland, every day of the year, from 9 months old to the end of primary school.

Thank you to The Yard for letting us join the play session this morning!

✅ A new poll released today shows Scottish businesses trust the SNP government more than the Labour government.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Good timing - First Minister @johnswinney.bsky.social was out meeting with businesses all across Edinburgh today. 🧵👇

✊ Transport committee votes for Greenbank to Meadows quiet route permanence (‘Option C’) 🥳

Still to be ratified at TRO Sub-committee in June (dare they try it on?) but a significant win for one of the few measures supporting active travel in South Edinburgh.

A historic SNP majority can unlock transformational change with independence - and make Nigel Farage irrelevant in Scotland’s Parliament.

Without it, there is always the risk of a grubby Labour-Reform deal.

#BothVotesSNP on May 7th is the only way to ensure Scotland’s future in Scotland’s hands.

When I started campaigning for independence as a teenager, it seemed like a distant dream.

Now it is there to be won - and it's up to all of us to finish the job.

Join me at the march and rally for independence this Saturday, from 11.30AM at Parliament Square in Edinburgh.

Magdalene this morning - big support for @kate-c.bsky.social & @snp.org. Plenty folk who backed Starmer's Labour in 2024 sickened by the disaster at Westminster, & saying they will #VoteSNP

Fantastic to be out in windy Musselburgh after an inspiring conference. With lots of positive reasons for people to vote SNP it was good to chat to folk about our pledge to extend childcare from 9 months, and support first time buyers with deposits up to £10k. #ActiveSNP

It's clear it must come back - the integrity of the process has been shown to be completely compromised. Key Q now is will Labour reverse its dreadful position of voting with Tories & Lib Dems to rip out measures protecting kids travelling safely to & from school? If they don't this means nowt.

We are cutting long waits in our NHS, opening GP walk-in centres, and we will certainly not be taking any lectures from Tony Blair.

So much for Labour’s promises to respect the Scottish Parliament.

Only the SNP will always stand up for Scotland and protect our Parliament.

This demonstrates that the vote to rip out the modal filters and other active travel measures in the Braid estate was not only unjustifiable, but also arrived at by a tainted process which must now surely be revisited.

⚠️ Today, Standards Commission hearing (Councillors Neil Ross & Marie-Clair Munro) found both had breached the Councillor code of conduct for failing to declare they lived by the Braid Estate when dealing w/ Greenbank to Meadows Quiet Route, including their votes to remove effective traffic filtering

Yet again - Labour found cash to buy a deal with the Conservatives who keep them in power - but nothing for youth work.

Bookmark this for a few months time when yet again there is not enough to go around and services are left underfunded.

No hope 👍

It’s not for Keir Starmer, or whoever replaces him, to deny Scotland’s democratic right.

Scotland’s future is up to people in Scotland - and if the SNP win in May, we must have that choice. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Update: it appears we may have support from SNP for this proposal, which is ggod news.

What about Lab, Lib Dems & Con? Are they content with 10-year delays to active travel projects, or will they take action to address this?

Clearly a miscommunication somewhere along the line - the SNP group will be supporting this.

LOCHEND NEEDS SAFE ROADS COMMUNITY DAY
It was a fantastic day attended by over 70 adults and children. We were joined by local fire fightes Fire & Rescue Service & St Andrews First Aid delivering trainings Dr Bike bike Service, Stina Sparkles Face Painting and local businesses.
Residents in Lochend have seen their neighbours and children being hit by cars, are afraid to have their kids cycle to school and have seen their roads littered with potholes which make crossing unsafe. We are asking for multiple improvments including safe crossings across Lochend.
Winners of our poster competition will be announced soon, thank you for all the amazing entries!
Thank you to Councillor Steven Jenkinson, Convenor of the Transport and Environment Committee and Councillor Danny Aston and Minister Ben MacPherson who came down to commit their support to the campaign and seeing real road safety improvements in Lochend.
If you want to get involved in the campaign come along to our next meetings on Tuesday 11th November 6.30pm & Wednesday 10h December 6.30pm at St Ninian Primary.
