A great write up for "Hot Bot Summer" in this month's issue of Locus! One of Locus' recommended reads! Check it out, and if you haven't already read my story, go take a listen over at Escape Pod (escapepod.org/2025/09/25/e...). @escapepod.org #sci-fi #writing

Lately I've been really into collecting vintage/lesser known children's picture books and reading them with my son. Here are a few images from some of my favorites. Just love the artwork on these. Can you guess the books? Have any favorites to share? #books #reading #literature #childrensbooks
nice!
This last week, my book club met to discuss Bradbury's Something Wicked This Way Comes. I'll be honest, it's not my favorite Bradbury. But its influence on horror is unmistakable: whether it be King's Needful Things or this lesser known Goosebump classic. Anyone remember what's under the sink?
Finally getting onto the Mothership train! Can't believe this has been absent from my life for so long. #mothership #sci-fi
Now that the northern summer has ended and the southern summer is still months away, it's perfect timing for this week's Escape Pod original: "Hot Bot Summer" by @jrdewitt.bsky.social. Experience this story with C&C Music Factory's advice in mind, and sweat!
I worked in biglaw for quite some time before transitioning to a boutique litigation firm - and let me tell you, this is real. There's a reason they kept a wet bar in the old firm I worked for. And that's not even counting the Inns of Courts you had to join. Or the golf tournaments.
We just had the five year anniversary of my book club. For it, we read Ancillary Justice (my third read of this wonderful novel), which I think was a fitting choice, seeing as the book club started with The Left Hand of Darkness. #scifi #books #ancillaryjustice
I need to post more on here. So what a perfect opportunity to start posting again by introducing my new story "Hot Bot Summer" published over at Escape Pod! Take a read! Come for the hot bots, stay for the summer! #writing #sciencefiction #sci-fi

I just got around to making an account finally. Better late than never! Really enjoyed your story as well! So enjoyable to be sharing the space with so many awesome writers.
Thanks for the shout out! If you haven't checked it out yet, come read "All the Pretty Starships Fly Like This"!
In 18 years, the best day (by far) we've had for new subscriptions was triggered by a reader who posted two sentences and a link on Reddit. Never underestimate word-of-mouth. Thank you to everyone that has done that for us over the years. It all adds up and continues to make a difference.
Can we take a minute to appreciate just how cool (and how very 80s) this cover is! Man I really love C.J. Cherryh's work, and The Pride of Chanur (a masterpiece in xenofiction) is one of my favorites. Plus the Knnn. Love those weirdos.
Psst. Hey you. You like starships? Yeah? Like'em big? Like'em tearing into imperialism? Always wanted to join the "Ever-Loving Freedom Coalition of Royally Pissed Off Starships?" Then check out "All the Pretty Starships Fly Like This." @fusionfragment.bsky.social
