(of course none of this is factoring in the fact that covid is still alive and well and any extended stretch of social interaction is a guarantee of getting sick, which is super dangerous for me, but it's just one of those nights I guess)

my mom doesn't really want to travel anymore which, fair! But I still want to do that someday, assuming my health and finances can deal with it. Then the NLSC thing happened and I'm sitting here frozen up about it because like... bit or not, I really want to go. I don't think I can swing it by 6/1..

real talk, and I feel dumb as hell talking about this but: my dad was getting into cruises toward the end of his life, and in I want to say feb 2020, he and I talked about going on a cruise in 2022 (assuming things would be Okay By Then which they clearly were not given he died in April 2020 :P)
