Once again I keep coming back to the story of 7:84's Cheviot, the Stag, and the Black, Black Oil being denied touring funds in 1973. What followed were a series of letters and meetings that delivered a compromise figure. The most celebrated Scottish play of the last 50 years almost never happened...

What Perth desperately needed, delighted to see this!!!
I wouldnโt be in theatre without the shows I saw as a teenager in Perth. So vital!
So glad itโs not just me ๐
I am only being slightly silly, I reached the end of a list pad today I started in 2022 - nearly cried looking at all the tasks I completed over the years (and the many I didnโt lol) ๐
This week my laptop died, and I am VERY sentimental so of course I have an emotional attachment to the stupid thing ๐ฅน
To the laptop that has seen me through 4th year of uni, countless funding bids and every bit of professional theatre work Iโve ever done - thank you for your service ๐

Found them in the development strand!
As we head into multi-year decisions coming out, I think mostly of the hours, days, weeks and months of labour put into these applications, some paid for but lots of it unpaid.
What impact has that had on the sector, the organisations, the people? On the outcomes this week?
We are only a couple days away from Creative Scotland's Multi-Year Funding decisions on Thursday 30 January, from 10am.
FST we have created a live webpage with information and resources, available to both members and non-members: www.scottishtheatre.org/resources/cr...
