Got an email from the school that the boy was getting an award. Asked him what it might be for? He reeled off four possible subjects. At the ceremony yesterday he got an award in all four. Proud Dad.

I can’t express how proud I feel when I see these #NorthernRiversWatershedInitiative updates.

I didn’t waste my 9 years on Council.

Adopting #NaturalFloodMitigation is our best chance to protect communities & our river in one of the most flood prone catchments in Australia.

The prime minister's 'oh shit' moment when Fatima Payman helped sink key law Fatima Payman's vote was needed to pass a critical reform. It was late on Wednesday the prime minister's office realised it was about to collapse.

This is... funny. The hard nosed political operatives of the backroom couldn't... "count"

The gender pay gap is now at its lowest recorded rate ever. This is because the Labor Govt:
1. Supported minimum wage increases
2. Banned pay secrecy clauses
3. Funded wage increases for aged care workers
4. Supported men to share in parental leave
6. Publishes gender pay gap of individual employers

Terrible news today:

This year, one-third of coral cover has been destroyed in two northern sections of the Great Barrier reef due to anthropogenic heating.

Results for the southern sections (which were even hotter) have not been officially released.

We have had our first successful nest for the season in Evans Head two mornings ago! This nest was from a loggerhead turtle. We can hopefully expect this lady to lay another clutch of eggs in the coming weeks. Ph 0447 877 149 to report!
