Rosalind shook her head and sighed softly.
"No. That should be fine."
She had questions but her head hurt too much to ask them at this moment.
"I just want to get out of here."

Perhaps sometime she could show him what she can do.
Educate him a bit. It wasn't like she hadn't broken every rule already.
Rosalind shook her head.
"Not really. I'll have to find somewhere to lay low a bit."
A soft hiss of pain as the fact that she's injured finally registered with her.
Thankfully she kept a go bag for a situation just like this.
She could just leave everything else. Physical possessions were easily replaceable. The only thing she went out of her way to grab was her grimoire. The sum total of her magical knowledge. That was more precious than gold.
Rosalind nodded as she made her way into her bedroom.
"Don't forget the second guy."
She'd have to think of a way to thank Peter later.
His showing up at just the right moment saved her from a fate worse than death. +
"I need to grab as much as I can. I need to leave. If they can find me here then I did not hide well enough."
There was panic in her voice despite how level she kept her tone. It was clear this wasn't her first rodeo so to speak.
"They need to go."
Rosalind murmured as she moved away from Peter.
Her head hurt from earlier and she knew even without being able to see that she had a concussion. Her eye was already starting to swell and her lip stung awfully.
But she knew she had no time for self-pity. It was time to move. +
Rosalind yelled and started hitting Peter before she recogised his energy.
"P-Peter?"
All she wanted to do was cry and scream and hit something excessively hard.
When he suggested the cops Rosalind shook her head.
"No! No cops! They are witches. Not humans."
She lifted his head and slammed it on her floor once, then twice, before she finally felt hands on her.
Rosalind seized the chance to jump on the witches who had come either to capture or kill her.
She held the first person's face so tightly that her nails pierced his skin.
"I'm not going back! I won't! I won't!" +

"You'll have to kill me. I'm not going back with you. The Congregation can go fuck themselves! I left because the Covenant is stupid!"
Rosalind was cut off from speaking further by a hit to her stomach.
Her apartment was in utter shambles and chaos. There was clear evidence of a fight. Scorch marks all over from raw bolts of magic.
Further in you could hear Rosalind talking to someone else. Her voice sounded strained but she still had plenty of fight left in her. +
"My thoughts exactly! I like the way I am."
Proud puffing out of her chest as she grins.
"Just people in general. Fuckin' weirdos."
"Everyone I look at is a walking glow stick."
She's not impressed. 🤨
name one thing i'm missing out on as a blind person?
i'll wait. 🤨
Rosalind grinned as Remy relented.
She probably wouldn't have hexed him anyway because she liked him.
"Lead on then."
Rosalind was stubborn and was perfectly capable of walking on her own.
Rosalind was annoyed that Bucky was going so slowly.
She felt mostly fine.
Fainting or passing out wasn't likely to happen just then.
Her cane swung from side to side as they walked.
It was the only other sound besides whatever hospital noise was going on around them.
Rosalind liked Remy's humour.
He treated her like she was just another person and not like she was less than.
"Nah. I am paying for half. You'll bloody take it or I'll hex you."
She was joking(mostly).
"I do like it. I get a completely unbiased view of everyone I meet."
Rosalind was watching him as he looked at his reflection.
"So what's your name?"
Some were jealous of her powers and abilities and eventually, she had to flee England for her own safety and the safety of those she cared about.
So now she was in New York City and set up a small business doing readings of auras and the like just to get by.
It became clear early on that Rosalind didn't like to play by the rules. She balked at the Congregation and their laws on interspecies intermingling.
Some of her best friends were daemons and vampires and even a few humans. +
Moreso when it was discovered that she was a rare kind of witch a Weaver. Weavers were special due to their ability to craft their own spells. They were at their best when improvising. And so this revelation made life more difficult for young Rosalind. +
Rosalind Barlowe was born blind.
It was clear from an early age that, while she couldn't see in the conventional sense, she could see the energy or aura of living beings.
This set her apart extremely quickly. +

Rosalind wasn't buying it but Steven looked nervous.
So she wouldn't press at that moment.
"Don't be sorry. I was born this way. I like it."
She offered a bit of a smile to him.
"I don't mean to pry. I was merely curious."
"Kind of. It's more like a second sight. I was born blind so all I see is the energy of all living things. Magic stuff."
Rosalind grinned at Remy.
She was enjoying this interaction and wanted it to continue.
"How about I buy you dinner and drinks? As payment."
Rosalind nodded in satisfaction and grabbed her cane.
She found Bucky's arm and linked her arm with his.
"Let's be off then."
"You seem like a worrier and I can't have you having an aneurysm from worrying. You're coming with me."
Rosalind smirked as she slipped on her flats and came over to him.
"I'm going to need someone to read the menu for me. I can have my phone do it but I hate that AI voice. Creeps me out."
