If I want to take transit my local arena two neighbourhoods away(9 min drive) it would take me upwards of 45 minutes to do that. Sometimes more than an hour on weekends. It shouldn't be this hard!

I feel like the discourse around this municipal election was driven by the squeaky wheels. It feels futile to speak up against it when those speaking are so hostile and loud.

@pathsforpeople.bsky.social where can we report/advocate for better infrastructure? Almost got flattened by someone not paying attention to flashing crosswalk lights on 106 Ave in Forest Heights. I truly believe it's a matter of time before someone is killed on this road.

It cracks me up that cyclists get the entitled rap. Nothing more entitled than expecting access to taxpayer-funded storage for your personal property.

After yesterday's snow, roads are melted and clear today. A little bit of partially melted snow and ice on the Ottewell shared pathway but not too bad! Really nice weather for it today. #yegbike

I'm really excited for next year's expansion - so many of the lanes they're going to build will solve this problem. 79 street is a pathetic excuse of a shared street at the moment.

If the road is over 40km/hr and there's no decent alternative, I'm on the sidewalk. I'll caveat this with I find the most immediate solution to not be on the sidewalk - even if it requires a slightly longer route - as I don't really feel like it's much safer. Too much risk for right hooking.

Of course the anti-bike lane PACE candidate in my ward was there.
