The problem with artificial intelligence, that people don't talk enough about, is how I can no longer refer to Allen Iverson as AI without it being very confusing to people.

What if bundt cake, but at an event for Jewish socialists, so it's Bund cake?
I think the Heated Rivalry development I'm most thankful for is that the word "Hell" is actually less spicy than saying "H-E double hockey-stick."
A lotta people watching figure skating results and I know half of you are also thinking of Borat’s Kazakh national anthem and not wanting to admit it.
Gus Kenworthy has great penmanship. Sorry I typoed, *peenmanship*.

She has no idea this is wildly Islamophobic (to say "well 'intifada' is the term we should use for every person's hatred of Jews no matter their identity") and that it has the potential to make us blind to all antisemitism from non-Muslims.
Deborah Lipstadt's "clarification."
If you're saying "What's the problem? I referred to a white Christian 19-year-old's antisemitism as being part of 'intifada' and that's logical actually"...
Maybe just take a step back from participating in conversations about antisemitism? You're not helping.
It means we will fundamentally misunderstand antisemitism and ignore many historic causes of it (like Christian texts). That's bad, and endangers me and all other Jews. It's deeply irresponsible, along with being morally abhorrent, to call Christian and other non-Muslim antisemitism "intifada."
and they want all antisemitism to be understood as indelibly intertwined with anti-Zionism. That's dangerous in a world where lots of Zionists and lots of neutral-about-Zionism/Anti-Zionism folks are also antisemites! (cont...)
It's an attempt to assert all Jew-hatred ultimately boils down to an Arabic term used by Muslims, such that even non-Muslim antisemitism should be associated with them. The reason people are doing that is that "intifada" is associated with anti-Zionists (cont...),
I...what?
Zionism obviously isn't the cause of Christian antisemitism and I didn't say it is? I implied that the knee-jerk inclination to call all attacks on Jews "intifada" is Islamophobic (continued next message)...
Can you talk me through, like I'm a child, how calling a devout Christian's antisemitism "intifada" serves the safety of Jews or anyone else? And why it doesn't make it less likely we'll all notice and fight violent forms of Christian antisemitism that have harmed Jews around the world repeatedly?
Lipstadt should be ashamed, and everyone invested in making “intifada” a catch-all word for hatred of Jews, to the degree it would be used to distract from a violent antisemite’s devout Christianity (WILDLY Islamophobic!) should consider that they’re endangering all of us for the sake of Zionism.
It makes Jews much less safe when we presume all antisemitism comes from Muslims, and imply it couldn’t possibly be Christians.
Sincerely,
A Jew who lived in Jackson, loved living there, wore a yarmulke every day, and is unsurprised a white, religious Christian man set fire to the synagogue there
Eyyyyy you're great!
Wow it’s worse than they predicted. Zohran got elected and immediately there are all these floating monsters in the New York City sky, trying to prey on our children and take their parents’ money. #Socialism #ChagTurkeySameach

You buried, due to admirable modesty, that that book launch was the greatest book launch of all time ❤️
Who is making the Hannah Einbinder “Go birds, F%#* ICE, Free Palestine” tote bag? The answer is not “nobody,” and I’d like to purchase 18 even though I’m meh on the birds part.
So honestly I do think it was more made for you than me (and other Jews from a coast -- or, like you, with relationships to both coasts -- who have one or more siblings). But it's also for me, without a doubt!
Full title -- amazing shout-out to the show included -- is "Don't Close the...Door: Rugrats and Its Impact on Jewish Children."
I am pleased to report this is a deeply correct and widespread opinion! Here's Terri McGuire's master's thesis entitled "Rugrats and its Impact on Jewish Children."

This yields people who are unable to look at a situation of clear oppressor and clear oppressed without asking "but what's underneath this seeming simplicity that's actually far more complicated."
It isn't that there is nothing about Israel-Palestine that is complicated. But we've lost the plot.
The best way to get nods of agreement in Centrist or Liberal-leaning spaces -- independent of topic -- is to express uncertainty between two options.
It feels like we've produced a fundamental addiction to moral uncertainty and a full-on repulsion to moral clarity.
An under-discussed piece of how we're failing to clearly oppose the genocide of Palestinians (a Jewish "our" and also a broader American "our"), is how decades of knee-jerk "both-ands" and "multiple truths" in all respects have made us unable to process one group intentionally destroying another.
Randy Fine might give him a run for his money down there unfortunately lol!
Full 4-minute audio is in the body of the article. Every second is honestly incredible.
I did not think Cuomo would be the one to name that he might’ve lost the overall Jewish vote to Mamdani in the primary, due to all the Jews on the left who are pro-Palestine and socialist, but as someone who’s Jewish, pro-Palestine, and socialist — it’s a fun listen!
