Bob Levine's new paper on Peircean inference fits exactly my own view being developed in my in-progress "Peircean Linguistics."
New paper out by Caleb Everett on how the Pirahã language relies on vowels more than any other language in phonotactics. My interpretation is that their main function is as prosody carriers.
