"So, back in the isles we have a festival called Gannisfaele," Telesphore said. "It's held at the hottest point of the year, just before the weather starts to get cold again and everyone's gone a bit mad. It's a little like Carnival, I suppose. And the city that I grew up in takes it very seriously."

Eisen went next. He set down the ten of cups over the ring finger.

"This particular Gannisfaele was the one when I was…" Telesphore narrowed his eyes and hummed thoughtfully. "14, I think. And through that entire school year I'd been engaged in this absolutely bitter rivalry with a boy named Callo Skonsanir."

Telesphore said the name with the same kind of venom Colette used on the rare occassions she ever talked about Veronica Hirsch. As she set down the eight of cups, she nodded, understanding. It was good to know, she thought, that having a weird, destructive homoerotic obsession with ones' school bully was a cross-species experience not just unique to herself.

"He was…Well," Telesphore chuckled sheepishly as he put another card down. "You know the kind of men I date, you can probably guess."

"A self-assured iconoclast," Eisen ventured.

"An insufferable jackass," Colette corrected.

Here's some more Kingmaker stuff I wrote semi-recently. This will probably never get explored in the show, but I wanted to explore it somewhere, so.... here are the gang playing cards and talking about their formative sexual experiences!

Just thinks about the Kingmaker Histories cast in general. Bisexual heaven for me and that's not even looking past the main three characters.
