All I ever wanted was just to make a passion project, just to make a fan game that is fun and makes me feel like I'm playing an actual Sonic Title back in the day. I'm sure that's what other people want too. You shouldn't have to tear someone down for having a different vision than yours.

I've had trouble just explaining that to people. From mechanics being "Stolen" from other fan games, or characters being too much like other established characters, "Avia being a Ray clone," It's not that deep.
Novelty Here, the head of Emerald Asteroid.
I just want to be nice and upfront about this. My team and I are just trying to make a passion project. It's not competing, nor is it trying to do anything to "raise the bar" set by other games.
They are games that marked a point in time in all development. I just think they deserve to be remembered in a good light, touched up by caring hands.
I even wonder, as I look at other canceled fan projects, I look at the art and effort that was once put in them, and I think "What can I do to honor this? To salvage and improve it?"
Thought about that with games like Sonic and the Moon Facility and Sonic Classic 2 to name a few.
I just want to say this. I think about my project a lot, Sonic Stars.
For a good couple of years, I and my team have been working really hard to try and make something special. It's not just a regular Sonic project, but for people like me who that just want to play a nice Sonic game.
The Emerald Asteroid Youtube is a bit bare, but it's meant for bigger updates. Keep that in mind.

Been a while huh? Well, I thought I'd bring some updates to the Bluesky page as well.
Feel free to check out my youtube channels for any updates on Sonic Stars. NoveltyMan Channel is for smaller updates and other things. The Emerald Asteroid channel is more useful.
The reason I am asking this, is simple. I'm an artist myself. I know how hard it is to create something from your bare hands and make it something good. I CAN'T support AI art. Not only does it ruin that hard work, it does a crummy job at it too. I will not support it even for game dev.
I have something I want to talk about with you guys. There has been some news regarding Clickteam Fusion recently, and it comes down to a rather important question.
Should the Sonic Classic 2 Remake Project still remain in Clickteam Fusion, or should it move to a new engine like GMS2?

But it's really no big deal. just a misunderstanding.
So I urge you, check out NUCLEAR's music. It's fantastic as well, and he works hard to make it so.
I want to clarify to everyone who may be spreading the news.
NO Sonic Stars is not scrapped or canceled.
I would say so myself, if that were ever the case, but it isn't.
On the news front: as I hopefully did mention, but will say again, The main project of ours, Sonic Stars, will be moving to GameMaker going forward. It's a lot easier on me and other programmers to actually make smooth progress on.
I'm not abandoning fusion, hence the Sonic Classic 2 remake.
More or less, it's progress. I'm slowly learning but surely gaining on GameMaker.
As for our second project, this is a CLickteam Fusion Built remake of a game by Hezmania, Sonic Classc 2.
Renamed, Sonic Classic 2 Plus, the remake aims mainly to fix the issues the original version of the game has, like intense lag and unfinished music tracks, so on and so forth.
Sonic Stars is going to shift from a Clickteam Fusion Project, to a Game Maker Studio Project, provided that I find programmers to help be learn and build through the program. I will say that the Fusion build will not be wasted, as I will at least upload a playable concept of the game in it.
I may be a few days late, but, as promised, I do have news, Starting with our first project, Sonic Stars.
Will have to figure out a couple things here on BlueSky, but this coming December, there will be some news regarding Sonic Stars and the upcoming Sonic Classic 2 rebuild.
Since Twitter is at an uproar... again... I'll dust off my account now.
Please enjoy the first glimpse of gameplay from SONIC STARS!
